Description

The KLIM Override Alloy Jacket is built for riders who want the perfect balance between warmth and breathability. Taking the proven chassis and insulation package from the Override Jacket, the Override Alloy replaces the back and underarm insulated panels with highly breathable moisture-wicking fleece for improved temperature regulation during active riding. The result is a hybrid insulated mid-layer that provides dependable core warmth while allowing excess heat and moisture to escape during high-output activities. A lightweight 20D ripstop nylon shell, 60 grams of insulation in the front and arms, and strategically placed grid-back fleece panels work together to create exceptional comfort under a GORE-TEX® shell or as a standalone piece around town. Lightweight, breathable, and versatile, the Override Alloy Jacket is basically designed for riders who somehow manage to be cold at the trailhead and overheating twenty minutes later.

Reviews and Q&A

FAQs

The Override Alloy uses the same insulation package as the Override Jacket but replaces the back and underarm insulated panels with highly breathable moisture-wicking fleece. This creates better airflow and temperature regulation during active riding.
No. The Override Alloy is a technical insulated mid-layer with a DWR-treated shell that sheds light moisture, but it is not waterproof and should be paired with a waterproof outer shell when riding in wet conditions.
The Override Alloy earns a 3/10 warmth rating. It provides meaningful insulation through the front and arms while prioritizing breathability and temperature regulation through the fleece panel areas.
Absolutely. The hybrid construction is particularly beneficial for mountain riders and other high-output users who generate substantial body heat but still need insulation in cold conditions.
The Override Alloy is ideal for riders who frequently transition between high activity and lower activity levels throughout the day. Honestly, it's built for people who are constantly adding and removing layers because they can never quite decide if they're hot or cold.
