Description

The KLIM Alloy Jacket is built for riders who want lightweight warmth without sacrificing breathability. Designed as the more insulated sibling to the Override Jacket, the Alloy combines efficient synthetic insulation with strategically placed fleece panels to create a versatile mid-layer that performs exceptionally well during active winter use. The 20D ripstop nylon shell and 60 grams of 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation provide dependable warmth through the body, while highly breathable fleece panels under the arms and across the back help regulate temperature during high-output riding and outdoor activities. Lightweight, low-bulk, and easy to layer under a GORE-TEX® shell, the Alloy Jacket delivers excellent warmth-to-weight performance without the stuffy feeling often associated with insulated layers. Comfortable, versatile, and built for active winter adventures, the Alloy Jacket is basically designed for riders who run hot but still appreciate a little extra warmth when temperatures start getting serious.

Reviews and Q&A

FAQs

No. The Alloy Jacket is designed as an insulated mid-layer and features a DWR-treated shell that helps repel light moisture, but it is not waterproof and should be paired with a waterproof outer shell in wet conditions.
The Alloy earns a 3/10 warmth rating thanks to its 60g of 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation. It offers slightly more warmth than a fleece mid-layer while remaining highly breathable and low bulk.
The Alloy uses 60g of 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation through the body and replaces some insulated areas with highly breathable fleece panels. This creates a hybrid design that offers more warmth than a fleece while maintaining excellent temperature regulation during active use.
Absolutely. While it excels as a technical mid-layer under a GORE-TEX® shell, the Alloy also works great as a lightweight standalone jacket for cool weather, travel, and everyday use.
Yes. The fleece back and underarm panels significantly improve breathability and moisture management, making the Alloy an excellent choice for riders who generate a lot of body heat. Honestly, it's the kind of jacket that keeps you comfortable when the ride alternates between sitting on the trail and digging someone out of a drift.
