CKX Tranz 1.5 AMS Omeg Modular Helmet w/ Electric Double Lens

I had trouble with a helmet fit purchase. Up north sports stood behind their sale and went out of their way above and beyond what I expected. I will shop Up North sports, always and again. Purchased this ckx tranz 1.5 ams Omeg modularr helmet in size 5xl a couple weeks back in December 2025. it did not fit; the rubber breath deflect was too close to my face and blocked breathing so much it felt like suffocation and had to rip the helmet off quickly. Also the front vent intake kept falling off.
After I removed the breath deflector, the chin guard would not snap in because the latches would not line up with helmet on. This 5xl is really only a 3xl.
I found another brand of a 5xl, no adjustment of padding or breath deflector removal, it fit great right out of the box.

With this being marketed as the largest 5xl in the market, I made a mistake to remove the deflector and started removing the liner to find room/adjust and the foam cracked right at the liner snaps. I am now stuck with this poorly designed helmet as a $400 paper weight. With a 20 year break from snowmobiling and now getting back into snowmobiling I wish I can find out if the factory would take it back as a reject so I can order jacket or bibs with this CKX loss.
